BabyBjörn High Chair
The BabyBjörn high chair is one of the smallest portable high chairs I’ve seen. This is a great option for tiny kitchens and apartment living. Not only is it small in size when set up (21 X 22 X 33″), but it can be easily folded and put away. When folded, it is only 10″ wide. It is also relatively light – just 11lbs. The size and portability are great features, but there are more! The tray system is unique in that you pull it forward and then lock it into place. This creates an ergonomically correct sitting position for your child … Continue reading
Svan High Chair Review – Small & Unique
The Svan Signet high chair is a beautifully designed wooden high chair designed by two fathers in Sweden. The company’s mission is create functional baby/children products that parents won’t mind keeping out when company comes over. They didn’t even need to tell me more. As with all products I like to write about, the Svan high chair has a small footprint – 34.5 X 20 X 22.25″ (H xWxL) and is designed to be the size of a typical kitchen chair that (without its tray) can be pulled up to a table. Similarly to the Stokke Tripp Trapp (our high chair) the Svan … Continue reading
Phil & Teds® Lobster Portable High Chair
Phil & Teds is a great company for City Babies. They have great design, reasonable prices and have really been at the forefront of designing products that are small, user-friendly and useful. I love their Lobster portable high chair. Not only can you bring this to restaurants, but there is no reason why you couldn’t have this as your main high chair and save the room! The greatest part feature of the lobster is the ease of which it can be attached to a table. With a simple twist on and twist off, it’s done. The lobster has a 5 … Continue reading
Astro High Chair from Valco
The Astro High Chair from Valco is a very economical and modern high chair which would be a great addition to a small space. Two words: IT FOLDS. Yes, it folds down into nothing and can be easily stored when not in use. I love that style doesn’t always come with a high price tag. When it is in use, the dimensions are 22.4″W x 31.5″D x 37.8″H and folded down it becomes 22.4″W x 31.5″D x 6.7″H. There are a number of places to purchase this online, and the price range is between $129 – $149, so it is on … Continue reading
Sprout High Chair by OXO
The Sprout High Chair by OXO is a very compact, clean lined basic high chair. The dimensions are 24.25″ x 19″ x 37″. It comes in Orange/Birch, Taupe/Birch, Green/Walnut and Pink/Walnut. As you can tell from the site, I kind of like orange, so the Orange/Birch is right up my ally. I think this is a great chair, very solid, and I wouldn’t mind looking at it everyday. As with many of the products I like, this chair is for the long-haul – 6 mos to 5 years (or up to 60lb). At $250, this is a great product. Additional Features: 3 levels … Continue reading
Peep’s High Chair – Stokke Tripp Trapp
My office threw me a great baby shower about 3 weeks before I gave birth. My dear friend insisted that instead of individual gifts, they all pitch in and get me one nice thing (she knew my theory on fewer, better items). I hadn’t registered for a highchair, but she steered the group that way. They bought me the Stokke Tripp Trapp in bright red. I loved the chair, but did exchange it for the Cherry to match our dining room. It has proved to be a great chair, and is still used daily. Pros: Small footprint – 13.3″ x 30.7″ x 18.1″ (DxHxW) Pulls right to … Continue reading
